Are you often stressed and overwhelmed by demands on your time and energy?
Do you suffer from chronic pain, chronic illness, or anxiety?
This eight week (9 session) course introduces some of the foundational practices in mindfulness meditation: awareness of the breath, eating awareness, body scan, moving meditation (yoga and walking meditation), mindful listening and compassion meditation. Forty years of science research provides evidence that those who consistently engage in mindfulness mediation practice are less reactive to stress, have improved attention and concentration, are more compassionate to themselves and others, cope better with chronic physical pain and medical conditions, and are better able to appreciate joyful experiences.
